XEMU EMULATOR
XEMU is a great emulator for the C65 (xc65) and the MEGA65 (xmega65) from Gábor Lénárt (LGB).
You can download the binaries for several OS at this site:
XEMU
At this site you can also find a fork of Xemu (xmega65) from Hernán Di Pietro (hernandp). He mainly added some VIC-IV stuff.
To avoid coyright issues the needed C65 ROM bin file is not delivered with Xemu or the Xemu images below. So you have to deliver the C65 ROM for yourself. Mostly it's named '911001.bin', so you have to rename it to 'MEGA65.ROM' before you can use it with the Xemu live system.
RASPBERRY MEGA65 IMAGE
For a simple use of Xemu with the "Raspberry Pi 400", I have expand the Raspberry Pi OS with the installed Xemu emulators (xc65 and xmega65 by LGB and hernandp). I also added the MEGA65 User Guide and some tools like KickC for developing.
You have to unzip and write the .img file to a microSD card with at least 16GB and put that into your Raspberry Pi 400.
You can download the Raspberry MEGA65 image (5,7 GB) here:

XEMU LIVE SYSTEM
For a very first look at Xemu, I build a Xemu live system (based on a Xubuntu system). That's an iso image which you can burn on a DVD or copy it on a bootable USB stick. So you only have to boot your PC with that live system to use the Xemu. There is also the Mega65-Book with the live system.
You can download the Xemu live system ISO (1,7 GB) here:
